I AM SO EXCITED

As I sit here looking at the seat selection screen on the Delta website, I am reminded in every way to PRAISE THE LORD! A month ago I would not have dreamed that I would be holding tickets to Uganda. A month ago I was having difficulty getting out of bed. Now I hold tickets to the place where my heart lives. Health was not the only stumbling block, in many ways I think the health issues were God’s way of getting me to stop long enough to deal with those things I would have rather never looked at. I told a friend that something needed to get my attention and I forced God to use a 2x4.  I PTL that my God is good and full of mercy and that I have the chance to be made new each morning. What ever I need to face in the future I don’t want to do it alone and with Jesus Christ I don’t have too.

We are just about 30 days until departure. The team is evenly spread between West Virginia and Florida this year. Let me introduce you to the group:

All of us will be watching Pastor Robert. Robert is the only one of the group who has not made this journey before. We will watch as he loses his heart to the people of Uganda as each one of us has. It will be fun to relive that first trip through his eyes. I am excited to again be traveling with Andy; we made our first mission trip to Uganda together just 2 years ago.

The mission focus is again broad but yet focused at the same time. The Pastors conference is on week three of the planned six. Danny, Robert and Phillip will do the teaching at the pastor’s conference and new believers conference. Kim, Andy and I will handle the children’s and youth ministry. All will participate in evangelism on the street and door-to-door. There will be many opportunities for each member of the group to share the love of Christ and the knowledge of His great gift with many people. I realize God is the one leading this group and I am so excited to see what He wants to share.

We ask for prayers for travel mercy as we depart the USA at various times on April 9^th and some to return on April 21sth and the remainder on April 24^th. Please pray for the mission and the team, pray now and pray often.
